On Monday afternoon, one of the central buildings of Iran’s state broadcaster was attacked by the Israeli regime in a calculated attempt to silence the voice of the Iranian people and the voice of truth.
The assault targeted the Glass Building of IRIB’s political department, home to IRINN (Islamic Republic of Iran News Network), causing partial damage and briefly knocking national channels off the air. Broadcasts have since resumed.
According to Hassan Abedini, Deputy of Political Affairs at IRIB, the targeted building caught fire and emergency teams responded promptly. “Firefighting is underway at the Glass Building, and preliminary reports indicate that a number of staff members have been injured,” Abedini said.
“In the initial moments, many evacuated the building,” he added.
The attack occurred during live programming. Sahar Emami, an anchor for IRINN who was presenting when the missile struck, returned on-air minutes later to reassure the public.
“Broadcasts on IRINN are continuing with full strength, and everything has returned to normal,” she announced. “What you witnessed was a clear example of the Zionist regime’s opposition to freedom of expression.”
Emami added defiantly, “Even if the news headquarters is targeted, the voice of truth will not be silenced, and we will continue our work.”

In a message issued following the attack, Peyman Jebelli, Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, strongly condemned the strike, describing it as evidence of the enemy’s desperation and fear of Iran’s media influence.
“We inform the noble people of Iran that moments ago, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting was subjected to a barbaric attack by the Zionist enemy. This attack clearly demonstrates how precisely the national media has struck at the strategic depth of the enemy’s media front,” Jebelli stated.
“The brave children of our nation at IRIB loudly declare that our resolve to counter the hybrid warfare waged by the Zionist enemy has grown even stronger. Our determination to defeat the media front of global arrogance remains entirely unshaken.”

The attack on Iran’s national broadcaster comes a few days after the Israeli regime started an unprovoked war against Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, military infrastructure, and residential areas since Thursday.
In a legitimate response to the atrocities, Iran launched Operation True Promise III.
